What is Chartamo?
Chartamo is a web-based trading simulator that allows users to practice trading with real historical market data. Users can replay past market conditions, analyze price charts, simulate trades using virtual funds, and evaluate their trading performance without risking real money.
Each practice session is based on a real historical market segment. Future price data remains hidden until a trade is placed, allowing users to make decisions using only the information that would have been available at that point in time. After entering a trade, the remaining market data is replayed candle by candle to show the outcome.
Chartamo automatically records every completed practice trade and provides performance statistics such as win rate, risk-to-reward ratio, and trading consistency. Users can also review previous trades through a searchable trading journal to analyze their decisions and monitor their progress over time.
